Steve Glover
Lead Pastor
Steve was born in L.A. (Lower Alabama) and learned early on that he bled crimson...crimson tide that is. As a young boy Steve fell in love with the bass guitar and eventually attended the University of Miami majoring in jazz composition. This pastor's kid eventually felt a tug to full time ministry himself and spent 12 years serving as a youth and music pastor. In 2002, Steve felt a stirring to start a church in Charlotte County to reach unchurched and unplugged people for Jesus Christ, Deep Creek Community Church. He and his wife of 17 years, Sarah, have been growing the church from under their own roof with their five children, Tyler, Hannah, Logan, Hope and Luke. He loves to camp, fish, golf and tries to squeeze in a little time to conquer the world playing RTS AOE.
Sarah Glover
Outreach & Frontlines Team Leader
Being the oldest of five children, Sarah developed strong leadership skills by default. She started teaching Sunday School at age ten and was leading the adult worship service at sixteen. After graduating from Port Charlotte High School, she quickly fell in love with Steve and moved to Alabama to join him leading the youth and music ministries at the church Steve's dad was currently pastoring. Another move to Ft. Myers, 7 years and 3 children later Steve & Sarah knew it was time to begin what God had placed in their hearts. Sarah works part time at Deep Creek Community Church leading the Outreach and Frontlines Teams and is also one of the worship leaders. Besides her DC3 roles, Sarah is first the Domestic Manager of the Glover home and mom to their 5 blondies. When she can find a spare moment to herself, reading, gardening and shopping are at the top of her list.
Sandy Cook
Xtreme Daze Student Ministries Pastor & Portable Operations
Our resident Canadian and Dave Ramsey double, Alexander Cook or "Handy Sandy" first met and worked with Steve as a youth leader in Fort Myers. He bought into the dream of DC3, moved to Port Charlotte and became an integral part of its inception alongside Sarah & Steve. This pastor's kid found his beautiful bride and partner 5 years ago to lead the Xtreme Daze student ministries and portable operations at DC3. Sandy enjoys watching NASCAR with his 3 boys, reading, remodeling houses, and plays guitar. He gets a kick out of hanging out at amusement parks and concerts with teenagers as well.
Anita Cook
DC3 Kidz Ministries
When Hurricane Charley swept through Charlotte County 6 years ago, Anita's home was left condemned. A few months later, DC3 decided to rebuild her home as an outreach project where she met "Handy Sandy" on the first day of construction. As they say...the rest is history. Sandy and Anita were married and joined DC3's staff shortly thereafter. Anita is passionate about Children's Ministries and loves that she gets to see them grow and develop in their faith even into the youth ministry alongside Sandy. This Texan and mother of 3 boys (Tommy, Michael & Ryan) can cook up some mean stuffed mushrooms as well as many other concoctions where stretchy pants become a necessity. Much to Sandy's dismay, every time she watches HGTV or reads the latest Home & Gardens magazine, Sandy's "honey-do list" grows. He has requested that she go on a sabbatical so he can catch up!
Adam Willis
Creative Arts Pastor
Adam grew up in Dothan, Alabama and like Steve, was groomed to be an all out Alabama football fanatic! During the annual Alabama All State youth choir tour in 1995, Adam met Steve & Sarah. Three years later on the same tour, he met his wife Erin (Sarah's sister) and they have been together ever since. Adam graduated from Southeastern University with a B.A. in music performance and moved to West Virginia to begin his first full time job as a worship and arts pastor. Five years later Adam & Erin felt a stirring to join Sarah & Steve in their church plant of DC3 and moved to sunny Punta Gorda. This dad of three little girls is the DC3 creative arts guy who oversees music, video production and planning artistic service elements. Even though his primary instrument in college was trumpet, he loves to play the piano and guitar and has begun writing original songs. Adam enjoys being "on the go" and plays racquetball, softball and golf as much as he can.
Erin Willis
Marketing
When Erin decided to go with her sister Sarah on the Alabama All State Youth Choir to help watch her 7 month old nephew Tyler, she had no clue that summer would change the direction of her life. She became fast friends with Adam and decided to forego her senior year of high school to join him at Southeastern University. Five years later, Erin (better known as "Squeeze") married her best friend, graduated with an Elementary Education degree and moved to West Virginia. Working as the church receptionist, Squeeze was given opportunities that triggered a passion for visual arts. After moving back to her hometown and DC3, she was given custody of the church's camera to develop marketing and advertising. She quickly became a photography enthusiast which evolved into owning her own business, Squeeze Photography. When she is not behind the lens, you can find this mom of Hali, Carli and Molly reading, cooking, in the ocean or entertaining friends and family.
